黄香。お父さんは、息子が父親の寝床を扇いでいるのをぼーっと眺めて待ってます。団扇持ってるならせめて一緒に扇げばよさそうなものなのにね。

Fanning the Pillow and Warming the Coverlet
Huang Hsiang of the lathe(late?) Han danasty(dynasty?) lost
his mother in his ninth year. His vague
recollection of her image was so vehement that
he was praised by his townsmen for his
dutifulness. He engaged himself in doing all
painstaking works assiduonsly(assiduously?) and also in
serving his father very faitufnily(faithfully?).
In not summer he would fan the pillow and
the mat in has(his?) father's bed; while in cold winter
he would warm the coverlets by sleeping in them
before his father went to bed. He won the
approbation of Prefect Liu Hu who reporied(reported?)
it to the king in order to distinguish him.

扇枕温衾（枕を扇ぎ 衾をあたたむ）
後漢の時黄香は 九歳の時母を失ひて 恋したふ事いたつて しんせつなり 同郷の人その孝なるをほめしとなり 黄香身をくるしめつとめて父につかふ 夏のあつきには父のねと（ろ？）をあふぎてすずしからしめしと也 簟は竹にてあめるむしろなり 冬の寒きに身をもつて 父のふすまむしろをあたためしとなり 被とは今の夜着の類なり 太守劉護といへる人かんじて孝の次第を旗にかきしるして黄香が門に立しとなり
